This body of work is a reflection about life as a woman, mother, and wife. Using the natural world as metaphor, these paintings take inspiration from the outdoors, a place where I took refuge during my most difficult moments.
Through these images I examine the tension between loss of identity and growth, while showing that healing is an ongoing act. My intention is to reinforce femininity as a source of strength, autonomy, and resilience.
